Introduction
It’s been a while for us since the last time we talked about the eco life of Arumdalu, therefore this week we are going to focus on their eco story. Arumdalu is located in the Southern part of Belitung, which is secluded from the crowd, yet blessed with the magnificent nature view! However, the very first thing you’ll have to know before you come to this hidden paradise is that they put a high level of concern for nature.
As some of you already knew, that since the first time it was built, Arumdalu had started their campaign as the eco luxury private resorts, and this eco luxury can be seen through every system inside, such as:
1. Arumdalu Water Treatment
Have you ever see this picture below when you visited Arumdalu? The white canopy is where they collects water from every room and recycle it to keep the water clean as it would be reuse to watering the plants and the flowers. Another purpose for this action is to keep out the water flowing directly to the sea, as it would contaminate the water.
If you happen to visit Arumdalu, even the first step when you reach their property would give you a heavy breathing. Every decoration you see inside Arumdalu is one of their eco campaign, as the white synthetic rattan decoration was made from “recycle plastic” by their engineering. The decoration included: lights decoration, luxury gazebo, wedding chapel and the canopy on the water treatment location.
The water heater they use in every room is one of their own invention as it is heat exchanger system that able to conserved the heat to transfer it to water. This system will allow hot water for a day usage (5 hours operational estimate) of air conditioner for 3 days worth of hot water for showering of a villa. Beside, the water heater exchanger system is also preventing the heat from the air conditioner leaking out from the exhaust, instead of heat, the system allows the exhaust to create a cool wind.
One of the most iconic vertical farm that located in Membalong. This organic farm is now become the answer of everyone needs, especially those who lives in the crowded yet narrow place. This vertical farm itself also tested that it can grow almost everything, from lettuces, herbs and fruits. If you are interested, now is your chance to see it from your own eyes and experience the farm to table dining concept.
Perhaps you didn’t realize that every wall you see and every place you visit inside Arumdalu Private Resorts is free from paint, but it doesn’t mean that they loses their elegance. Instead of using paint, Arumdalu using a rubber mold to create the wall with a natural concept that is not only eco, but also heat resistance. This stone walls looks like real
stone as the rubber mold is able to resemble real texture of stone until the smallest detail can be seen and touched.
